Montona is a dry, white wine produced from macerated Malvasian grapes. The delicate parchment hue with muted semblances of platinum is much more subtle than contemporary Malvasian varieties. The typical fragrance of acacia flowers is fortified with the delightfully surprising essence of beeswax, chamomile, and dried fruit. A concentration of fruitiness is counterbalanced by a refined acidity yielding a concordant, authentic expression of the classic Malvasia Istriana.
Montona is an amiable partner for fish, seafood, poultry and other light dishes and is the perfect counterpart for Crni Rižot, black cuttlefish risotto. Recommended serving temperature: 10° to 12°C.
