Teran is made from Istrian-native teran grapes grown in 30-year-old, multi-soiled vineyards near Brtonigla. This red wine’s bold burgundy colour contradicts its light, yet rich aroma and its fresh and soft taste. The scent of ripe cherries is accented by raspberry and strawberry notes and the bright, fruity taste faintly diminishes over its protracted finish.
Teran couples well with other vivid flavours such as roasted oats, piquant cheeses, prosciutto, or grilled meats. It also pairs splendidly with wood-fired pizza topped with sausage or salami. Recommended serving temperature: 16° to 18°C
