The history of Arman Wines is rooted in the 1880’s, when Ivan Arman planted his first vineyard. The family’s passion for land and cumulative wisdom of viticulture and wine were passed down from generation to generation to Marijan Arman. During the “New Wine Era” of the mid-1990’s, Marijan emerged as a maverick in the industry and thrust the family’s traditional winery toward the 21st century, introducing new skills and technology. This modernization spawned Arman’s first prominent success and entrenched the winery as a leader in contemporary, world-class wines.
Today, Marijan continues his efficacious assimilation of heritage and innovation along with his daughters, Ines and Nina, on 13 hectares of prime, sun-soaked real estate. The family vineyard focuses on traditional Istrian Malvasian and Teran grapes complemented by international varieties of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Merlot.
