The Cattunar family has been working the land of western Istria for generations and their strong family heritage is deeply rooted in traditional viticulture and winemaking. Franco Cattunar, along with his wife, Vesna, and their children, Nicol and Eddi, has continued to invest in modernization and expansion over the years.
With a combination of native Malvasia, Teran, and Muškat Momjanski along with international Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc grapes, the current family vineyard sits on an anomalous tract of 56 hectares. The terrain is composed of a conglomerate of red, white, gray, and black soils, each imparting their own unique characteristics on the wines grown there. This special blend of family tradition and exceptional location has consistently produced award-winning and internationally recognized wines over the past 20 years.
